Treatment options are determined after an initial evaluation by a physical therapist in conjunction
with your physician’s
orders. The treatment program may consist of the following: gait training,
balance activities, transfer training, neuro
re-education, range of stretching and stretching, therapeutic exercise,
aerobic conditioning, fitting for the appropriate
assistive device for ambulation, and prosthetic/orthotic check-out.
Physical modalities may also be used such as
electrical stimulation, moist heat or cold to control pain and spasm.
