In the testing mode, the Biodex will provide your physical therapist with baseline and follow-up objective data to document deficits and subsequent improvement for the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee and ankle. The Biodex Advantage software analyzes the data and provides comprehensive reports with a comparison to a normative database. Your physician is sent a copy of the report to show progress and any remaining deficits.
In the rehabilitation mode, the Biodex offers multi-mode operation: isokinetic, isometric, eccentric and passive loading. The Advantage software motivates patients through on-screen graphics.
